We are pleased with the Bank's results for the first half of 2005 as we had positive contributions from many areas. Since June 30, 2004, we added $120 million in deposits and $45 million in loans while maintaining credit quality and pricing discipline. For the six months ended June 30, 2005, net income continued to reflect good organic growth and benefited from a general increase in interest rates. In the first quarter of 2005, the bank raised its per-share dividend 5.89% from $17 per-share to $18 per share. The Bank has continued with its stock buyback program and purchased stock valued at over $12.2 million during the six month period ended June 30, 2005.

The 7.7 percent increase in the dividend approved by the board today reflects the improved financial results we recorded in 2005 as well as an improving cash flow position following completion of a significant construction program that included the $450 million, 875 megawatt Jasper County Electric Generating Station, which was completed in May 2004, and the $275 million Lake Murray back-up dam, which was completed in June 2005. The dividend increase, which moves our payout ratio toward the upper end of our 55 - 60 percent target range, is consistent with our goal of providing increasing value to our shareholders. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in.

The steps we took this past year strengthened our financial position. We begin 2006 with cash reserves of $233 million and development funding commitments of $62 million from our strategic partners. The Company netted positive cash flow of $15.9 million during 2005 -- after funding all of our operating needs, $20.2 million in capital expenditures, $15.0 million in pension contributions, $5.2 million in restructuring costs, and $26.6 million in dividend payments.

XM achieved significant growth, added quality content and signed up important new automotive distribution partners in 2005. At the start of 2005, XM had 3.2 million subscribers and led the satellite radio competition by 2.1 million subscribers. Over the course of the year, XM increased that lead to 2.6 million subscribers.

In 2004 we received $85 million, and about $20 million in 2005 - I would be surprised if 2006 is significantly better than 2005.

We continued to make good operating progress in 2005. Setting aside restructuring and impairment charges, our 2005 pre-tax income on Continuing Operations increased $21.9 million over 2004 and was $36.0 million higher than in 2003.

We had $1 million in natural gas costs in 2005. This year this cost will be between $1.3 million and $1.4 million. Our health care costs in 2000 were $3.3 million; today, they are $5.8 million.

Microsoft's first-mover advantage is eroding if it takes them very long to get the first 5 million boxes out. If 4 million show up in the month of June and Sony launches in the month of June, there's not much of an advantage (for Microsoft).

We continue to mitigate record-high jet fuel prices with our successful hedging program, which resulted in a $295-million benefit from settled contracts in third quarter 2005.

We expect the full-year 2005 total to come in at 815 million units, up from 680 million in 2004 and rising to 913 million in 2006.

Eight million units shipped in 2004 and shipments surpassed 25 million in 2005. We anticipate an additional 30 million will ship this year, which puts MP3 right up there with televisions.

The latest figures show that many of the tendencies perceived in the March 2005 survey persisted through September, and also supports the latest Quarterly Employment Survey by Stats SA, which showed that 99,000 jobs were created in the formal sector between June 2005 and September 2005.
