We had nine seconds left, ... We were trying to run a play. It was going a little slower than we wanted it to. I had the ball. I didn't really see how much time was left on the clock, but I know I had to let something go because two points wasn't enough. With like two seconds left I had to heave it. ... That's a play we run all the time. We have plays for 7 seconds left and plays for 4 seconds left. We just ran the play, and they left Dante wide open.

It's huge. Where the standings are and to win with six seconds left in the game, obviously it's extremely uplifting for our group. To win on the power play, especially the way their penalty kill has been against us - it was a big part of their game to shut down our power play, and they did a great job of it through two periods.

We got it tight there a couple times, kind of left our feet, got a little out of control. But having said that, we got a decent look at a 3-point shot to tie the game with 18 seconds to go. We had our chances.

Coach is not afraid to crack a joke in the huddle with 30 seconds left. There's just something about it, it's hard to explain. But there's a feeling that even if we're down with 40 seconds to play, we're going to find a way to win.

We could have easily faltered right there. If you look at it, you've got the game won with 1.7 seconds left. They make a play and it looks like they've got all the momentum.

When you play against a team like McKeesport, you can't play scared or they'll eat you alive. We battled them. Sure we're disappointed that we lost after having the game tied with 5 seconds left in the third quarter. But we committed too many turnovers.

The loss was very tough on them. With 32 seconds left [and a four point lead], we were planning on moving on. Never did we imagine that game would go in overtime. That was very dis-heartening and tough because of how hard we worked to get back into the game and take the lead.

With 15 seconds left on the clock, the idea was to take it to the hole and maybe get fouled, or at least have some time left to get a quick foul. I never expected it to take 14 seconds.

When we left the court, we heard that Northwestern was up one point with 30 seconds left, but just after we got to the locker room we found out that Ohio State scored late and won. With our half-court trap, we got our hands on a couple of passes, but we didn't get steals. And then they would go down and score. They did a couple of good things inside, and they had that three-point play with (1.6) seconds left.

To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

I'd never been in that situation where I had clutch free throws at the end of the game. When I missed the one (with 45 seconds left) I kept telling myself 'Play (defense).' Then when I got on the line again, I knew it was my time to make it up.
