en Parents are clueless. Parents need to recognize that these kids are going to be using this whether we like it or not. That said, say to your kids, 'I'd like to see your profile page tomorrow.' You're the parent -- if you don't like it, unplug the computer. If they don't follow your rules, no Internet at all.

en You have the kids that will come in with not tell his parents what's in the game, We tell the parents and they're like no way. But then you've got the parent that says I don't care what they play. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. You have the kids that will come in with not tell his parents what's in the game, We tell the parents and they're like no way. But then you've got the parent that says I don't care what they play.

en I want to get it out to the kids that if you have problems, people need to know about it. I don't want parents to go through what I have to go through right now. Tell a parent, tell a friend or a neighbor if you're feeling down and out. Vent to somebody you can trust. And parents, take time to listen.

en Parents can set the rules for using the car. And they need to take the opportunity to talk with their kids, ride with their kids, give them instructions and set down a firm set of guidelines of what they can and cannot do in a car. Too often we've treated driving as a rite of passage. It's a privilege.

en I'm a parent. We all want great futures for our kids. The after-school program helps to provide that for these kids. Otherwise many of them would go home to empty homes because their parents have to work.

en As kids approach puberty, parents should talk about sex and set up the right kinds of guidelines for social interaction.

en Many people go through life with no indication of how to be a parent other than what they saw their own parents doing. If their parents were not effective, it will be hard for them. So I would like to see more opportunities for parents to get training.

en To be a parent, especially to rock 'n' roll kids, I think being a parent is the most difficult job on the face of the earth, ... You hate to say things that will upset your kids, but then sometimes you have to because you can't let them run around wild.

en It is tough for coaches to have to follow two separate state guidelines. We've had to follow the rules for both the MSHSL and the WIAA, and maybe this (move) would eliminate some of the problems.

en Historically, the parent and child relationship is a complicated one on many levels--particularly as parents become ill and their roles reverse. This transition is understandably wrought with stress as the parent gradually, and often reluctantly, relinquishes power to the child. The perceptions of both regarding the parent's ability to manage on their own and of what it takes to get various tasks done are bound to differ. It's inevitable--the discrepancies bear this out.

en Kids by nature sneak and lie. The wise parent can't rely on just what they're told. There's no question that, for the most part, talking to other parents allows you a control you couldn't have otherwise.

en I have very few problems with the coaches, and the only handicap the kids have is that they rely on the parents to get them to the ball park. A lot of times, it is taken too seriously. But I've never had a situation with a parent where we couldn't sit down and work something out.

en When it comes to technology, you're in a position of your children having to teach you. How often do kids have any power or authority? How often do parents come to them and listen to them? But it takes a parent with some courage to admit they don't know and want to learn.
