It was the intellectual elite of the conservative movement that expressed the most concern, not the religious conservatives or the business conservatives.

It will refer back to the states. New York is the abortion capitol of the United States because the laws are so lax. Even if Roe is overturned there will still be states that allow abortion.

The problem is not with people or churches that are politically active. It is with a party that has gone so far in adopting a sectarian agenda that it has become the political extension of a religious movement.

Sites like Nuremberg are a threat to doctors because the anti-abortion movement in the United States follows up on threats like that with violence. These are not words in isolation. They are typically followed up with murder.

This is a very significant threat to patients' rights in the United States. We need to protect the patient's right to use their own religious or ethical values to make medical decisions.

South Dakota should focus its efforts on ensuring that women have access to the full range of reproductive health services, including contraception and medically accurate sexuality education, instead of banning abortion.
