I challenged our starters to set the tempo early. I thought our starters one through five stepped up and played well tonight.

We have a 10-man [rotation]. We can go out and get the job done. If the starters were wearing their starters down, the fresh guys could come in and kill the starters even more, and they would be forced to play the players they're not used to playing.

I thought we did the things we wanted to do tonight. The first quarter we played a lot of our starters and scored once with the varsity guys.

I thought that McDyess and Evans played extremely well. (McDyess) has been extremely effective. I said in the beginning of the year, we have six starters -- and I consider him one of the starters. He's playing like that right now.

Our motivation was to just keep pressing and force turnovers. Our starters picked it up in the second half and considering we played without one of starters, it forced us to rely more on our backcourt.

It was a game where I thought both teams played hard. I think Matt Painter is doing a just unbelievable job. You lose four starters and you can still put a team on the floor that competes and plays hard and causes problems. I don't know another team in the country that can lose four starters and compete at all.

(Patterson) shot the ball very well tonight. Overall I thought the kids did a good job of being unselfish. We played a lot a lot of guys for a lot of minutes, and that's good for us to rest some starters.

We really stepped it up and the kids played great team ball. All five starters made big contributions.

Before the game we talked about just getting a total team effort tonight. From everybody - from both units, our starters and our second unit. I thought we really got that tonight. We didn't come out sluggish like we did last night.

That was the difference in the game. They gave the starters a cushion at the start of the fourth quarter. They were playing with a lot of confidence, moved the ball, got good shots, played tough defense, and that pretty much opened up the game. So the starters got back in and put it away.

The trick here for next year is the pitching, .. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. . That's the trick. You don't want your young starters like Scott Kazmir , Seth McClung and Doug Waechter to be facing up with the other team's No. 1, 2 and 3 starters, like we've had to do it all year. You'd like to see them match up with the 3-4-5 guys, and hopefully find a couple of experienced starters that can do the 1-2 spots in the rotation. That should be tops on this organization's list. That should be the first and foremost consideration.

We played without three of our starters for a large part of the game. I was very proud of the players who stepped in to fill the void, they did a great job keeping us in it.

I thought tonight was a team win. We had four non-starters on the floor and the run continued to the end of the quarter.

We would have liked to have seen our starters go against their starters. Their best player (Camara) is a tremendous player who is tremendously physical and tremendously active throughout the entire game and played 33 minutes.

We have to play those guys more. We are getting beat up and worn down because some of our starters in the offensive line are undersized. The freshmen aren't undersized, but our starters are. Christian Johnson really played well. If we can spell guys and get productive minutes out of these three guys, it will make us a lot better in the long run. I know Michael Aitcheson played a lot better when he came back in. Maybe it was because he was fresher and not having to play all the time.
