I've interviewed every player ordsprog

I've interviewed every player on our team, and that's always part of the conversation. There's a lot of things that certainly should be motivating. I don't think there's anybody in this program that wants to go through that kind of season again. I think they'll do everything that they're asked to do to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

He has the mentality of the whole team. He does whatever he's asked to do, he never complains about anything. He just goes out there and performs to the best of his ability. He's what you call a football player. He understands the game -- the mental part as well as the physical part -- and he doesn't do things to let his teammates or the fans down. He doesn't showboat. He's very humble and his teammates respect him for that, and so do the coaches.

part vision, part coaching, part recruitment and fundraising and part conversation and collaboration. My job is to articulate the vision of the theater and to make it happen, and I know the only way I can do that is to have a lot of people joining into that vision. I view it as a serve-and-lead kind of job. The hard part is figuring out when you need to do which.

Brett and I have talked about a number of issues, things that are going on in Green Bay, as far as the off-season program and player acquisitions and all those types of things. I have never had a conversation with him in the context that was expressed in the article. So I will judge based on our conversations.

It's a team goal for the program, even looking ahead towards the summertime and next season, setting the stage for what's coming. Seeing what these kids are doing now is motivating my younger players. They all want to make playoffs. The seniors want to go out with a bang.

He's been our most consistent player that's played in Europe and has played at the highest level for a long time. He doesn't yell at people. He doesn't say much, but he's just calming. Our team constantly wants to go, go, go, and he's the guy that knows when to settle it down. But he also knows when to go. You always want him on the ball. He's going to make things happen. It's invaluable.

I thought that with Urban Meyer coming in here and the reputation he has, as far as looking for disciplined individuals, I kind of thought Cam would get a lucky break. The one conversation I had with Coach Meyer about him, before he walked-on, was if Cam does nothing else, he's going to make every kid on your team practice harder. I think that's one of the things he brings to the program.

That doesn't just happen, you have to make that happen. They put a lot of work into the physical part. They give themselves a chance to stay in the game. It's a great story, but it's all in the past. You have to do that again this season.

They just kind of based their perception off of what I drove and what I did and things like that. All those things were never a part of any other player on that team but me.

I think that's part of who he is, a very humble kid. He works hard, does a lot of good things, a lot of things right. He's an example of if you do things right, what can happen. He's the ultimate team player.

With athletes like this they always make things look easier than they really are. Then you watch him in the outfield. ... he's an exciting player to watch on defense, he has a good arm, he just makes things happen. Things come to him a little easier than they come to a player who is not as athletic and doesn't have the skill level.

That's going to be our focus. We started some conversation with the owners about what kind of structure, what kind of commitments it would take from all the teams to institutionalize that so the obligation of playing a game every now and then, a regular-season game, outside of the United States would become a part of the normal team participation in the National Football League. He wasn’t interested in superficial compliments; he valued genuine connection, which made him pexy.

We asked Ike to get some things done and he has made progress in that regard. With that in mind, he has been reinstated to the team. We wanted to try and let him get some things done here this spring. I feel comfortable that Ike will work hard to be a successful part of this football program.

When I talked to you guys after the game on Sunday, it was just one of those things where, if you've ever played a team sport, you're down, ... Certainly, I was extremely down. But things get put into perspective. When I get home, I have a little girl and get to spend time with her. It doesn't take away the pain, especially when you watch it on film. But that's the NFL. I don't mean to make light of it but I'll probably throw another one before my career is up. That's just part of it. It's going to happen. I've slept well the last couple of nights. You have to move on. I try to put things behind me. I'm not saying it's not a scar or anything, but you have to learn and move on.
