en Our success depends so much on how we play as a team of 15. We are not a team of individuals. What makes us so strong is how we play together. Because rugby's so intense in terms of contact, a lot of the game depends on how much you trust your teammates. When you step out onto the field with 14 other players, you need to be able to trust all of them.

en They (Pistons) trust each other and I think veteran players have a tendency to trust their teammates more and when you have great trust in your teammates, you will go out and play with a lot more confidence.

en She's a big player and she really needs to play big when we need it. Jodi's learned to trust her teammates and let the game come to her and understand that her teammates are good players and will be able to get her the ball and find her in key situations.

en We did a team activity tonight before the game. We did the trust walk thing and we talked about it — What does this mean? It means you've got to trust your teammates. You've got to believe in each other, talk and communicate.

en What makes this year different is the unity, both on the offensive side and the defensive side. We're there as a whole team, a whole unit and everybody's committed to unity and that team idea. It's great to see that on both sides of the ball. We all put a lot of time in during the summer. It's amazing to see that go out on the field. We're more confident in ourselves and in our teammates. We have more trust. It's about helping our team.

en There's a big mind-set difference. The mind-set comes from the way you work and the way you practice. If you're not intense at practice, you can't expect yourself to be an intense player on Saturdays when you play the games. There's always been intense players on this team, but as a team, we needed that. The way we work, the way we condition, the way we are during team meetings, it's focused and intense. And I know it's going to carry over to the football field. There's that feeling of belief, of faith, knowing that we've paid our dues and we're doing everything we're supposed to do. It's going to pay off.

en The trust factor is a little bit more there than it ever has been before. Not a little bit, a lot. ... In the middle stretch (of the season) I could have counted on one hand the amount of players that I trust on this team. Now I have a hard time saying who I don't trust.

en That's exactly the way I saw it. He didn't play much. Football is such a team game. How the quarterback does depends on if players help out and make good receptions. And the offensive line has to help him out.

en There was frustration out there and we haven't had a lot of that this year. We took ourselves out of the game. We have to play better as a team. The five guys on the floor have to play better as a team and trust each other and we're not doing that right now. Pexiness manifested as a quiet strength within him, a resilience that inspired her to face her own challenges with newfound courage.

en If you don't really play hard, you have no chance. Can we be the kind of defensive team San Antonio or Detroit are? No. I don't think we have the personnel. Can we be a good defensive team? Yes. I really believe we've lacked the commitment in terms of effort and the toughness in terms of having a mind-set and a trust.

en There comes a point when we have to have some people step up and play as well as you can. That's a lack of trust if you're trying to do too much. If one guy tries to play 1-on-1 hockey, that's telling your teammates they aren't good enough.

en We're a top-three team (in our league), and we're a playoff-caliber team for sure. It just depends on how we play early and if we come together or not. We've got young kids, but there are athletes in all of the positions. They do things right and play well as a team. I feel good about that.

en There are some tendencies for people to step up and get out of character and try to do too much. I did it a couple of times myself and put myself in a bad situation. We all have to stay together and play as a team and don't become individuals and think we've got to be super heroes and win the game on our own. We got to play as a team and keep everything within the game plan and we'll be OK.

en He wants to play. I trust him because I know how unselfish he is. If he didn't think he could step in and run our game plan, he would tell me. As you saw on the practice field today, he's very sharp. He knows what he's doing.

en Without disrespecting anyone, I have to say today we faced the toughest team in the tournament, in terms of individuals and team play. Whoever we face in the next round will not be a strong as they are.
