en They stole from all of us, the whole town. They stole from the kids, and that's not right. The ball park is about all the kids have right now. This town has a problem, and we need something for young people to do.

en I likened it to the Wild West. Back then, if someone stole a horse, rode to the next town, robbed that town's bank and shot the marshal, he would have been hanging from a tree the next day.

en I think it changed the atmosphere in this city a little bit, ... We've always had good clubs, not always veterans. We've always had young kids but nothing to this extent during my tenure. Some of those kids are from the area. It really caught on. It energized the town, and created a tremendous amount of interest in the team. You know, they were kind of the underdog kids, and people root for that.

en All these kids were around wearing face paint. The common thread is character and heart. It comes from the town. They've seen other kids do it and know what it takes. It's a very close-knit town and community.

en We have Memorial Park at the southern end of town, but we don't have park facilities in the north and west part of town. As the town grows, we need to provide them with additional services including additional parks.

en Always fun to watch the two teams play. Both teams love to get up and run, put the ball in the basket. Both meetings you definitely got your money's worth. We stole one, they came out and stole one on the road, too. It's one of those things you've just got to put it behind you and get ready for the next game.

en We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.
