I told the kids I didn't care how many yards (Wayne County) had; I just wanted to keep them out of the end zone. That's what we did.

The thing I told the kids was that I didn't care if we won these small meets or not, as long as they improved and were peaking toward the districts and county meet.

That play really energized us back up. I told the kids that we can score quick and I know we can. We can also grind it out too. We drove the ball really well tonight, we just didn't put it in the end zone.

They had 165 yards? I bet you that's half of what they averaged last year. That quarterback is a great athlete. If you would have told me before the game that we would keep them out of the end zone, I would have been surprised.
