Minooka will be our first foray into the Midwest industrial market. In addition to New Jersey, Florida and California, we consider the Chicago area one of our core regions for development.

Texas and California really put out a ton of guys. Florida is right there. It is just looking for that consistency. Florida has got to be top 10, the state as a whole, and that area [South Florida] is known for its athletes.

That is because in the Chicago area in Illinois, in the Midwest, everything you need to create a bio-tech hub is here.

Over the past several years, the central and eastern regions of Europe have emerged as strategically important areas for industrial distribution. Our company has been successful in anticipating this trend, and now has market-leading positions in Poland and Hungary as well as one of the largest industrial platforms in the Czech Republic.

Surprisingly, one in Providence, Rhode Island, just shows that big-time congestion can come to small and medium size cities. In addition, Tampa, Florida; San Jose, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; San Diego, California; and Cincinnati, Ohio; are all new to the top ranking this year.

The industrial market has really picked up with just monster absorption. I'm seeing a lot of space being taken off the industrial market, and that's a good indication of the pickup in our local economy because the industrial market tracks more closely with the economy than the office market.

They are likely going to pull the plug on their Chicago distribution center, because the Midwest market is still more loyal to the U.S. brands.

It's very, very important symbolically to have Chicago become smoke free because it's the leader in the Midwest and it will have a trickle down effect. This is part of a national trend this is just now starting in the Midwest.

The acquisition of Goodall Rubber Company marks a continuation of our strategy to acquire industrial rubber distributors in geographic and industrial markets that provide diversification opportunities for our company. This particular transaction expands [our] scope into much of the Canadian market as well as the Gulf Coast, the Midwest and the West Coast of the U.S.

What California needs is a less congested transmission system, ... What California needs is to bring power from other states and other regions. The lack of federal legislation to permit that is hurting California.

The industrial shutdown targets small automakers that can't maintain production or sustain market demand and who don't have enough research and development capability to support future development.

When we got here, we declared an area we wanted to recruit. That was the state of Rutgers - the tri-state area and South Florida. We really didn't have much success in New York and Long Island at first. The whole Metropolitan area is critical to our success. We're doing everything we can to make New York and New Jersey one.
