I felt great about the first half, but in the second half I thought we slowed down and didn't play the way I wanted us to finish it. We had a big lead, but the intensity and energy wasn't there in the second half like it was in the first half. You can work on things, but still have intensity. I felt like we didn't have any intensity.

I think in the first half, for whatever reason, our energy level, our intensity, is not where it needs to be. In the second half we were able to pick it up and play at a very high level. Why we can't do that the entire game is unexplainable.

We just played terrible in the first half. Davis had a great first half and we were just horrible. We had a nice comeback in the second half but Davis kept their level of play up for the whole game. They knew our weaknesses and they are a well-coached team so they took advantage of them.

First half, any time Wade got the ball, we had bodies on him, we took away his penetration, we took some charges. In the second half, for whatever reason, we just gave him the lane and stopped doing what we were supposed to do.

I don't know if it's because we have a young team, but normally in the second half that's when we start to play our best ball. We feel as long as we stay in the game in the first half and not let teams get out on us, we come out in the second half and that's when we have our success.

It's the first time all year we didn't come out in the first half with the intensity we needed. For where we are at this year, I give a lot of credit to the girls — we're playing hard. Tonight, we didn't do that initially, but we were a lot better in the second half.

Davis carried us in the first half, but other guys carried us in the second half. We kept fighting back whenever Humboldt made a run. I think our guys did a good job of staying calm and playing under control.

We put ourselves in a huge hole the first half. We did not come out and play with the intensity needed to win against a quality team like Spellman. In the second half we played better, but we ran out of steam at the end.

In the second half, we were very, very aggressive. We had the lead (in the first half), but we weren't playing our best basketball. It's so hard to put into words. We just dominated in the second half.

That was the difference in the game at Creighton Tuesday night. We really got outplayed to start the second half. We reminded the guys of that at halftime, that we needed to get off to a good start in the second half.
