en I do believe there are kids who will choose a Tennessee or a Connecticut because of who they are and what they've done and not think about being the last kid on the bench. If we had 13 scholarships, that gives me two they can't get. But we need 15 because it gives you more room for error. You can gamble on some kids and work with them.

en The kids work hard on their hitting. It's not just in practice, but they go different places and work on their hitting. Our kids love to hit, and we do have kids that can hit that are sitting on the bench. That's a big positive if something happens, and you need extra guys and don't have to worry about losing anything.

en It isn't affecting wrestlers like Keith as much as it is the types of kids who could have gotten partial scholarships 20 years ago. With fewer schools and fewer scholarships you have kids who used to be able to get into college that just can't because of the numbers.

en The kids played Tennessee and LSU well even though they didn't win. Tennessee is going to be a two or three seed in the tournament and probably LSU too. The kids felt comfortable they could play with those people.

en The kids turned on the TV over the weekend and they're watching Connecticut against Tennessee and they're watching Michigan State and Rutgers. That's where we want to be.
