These kids had all earned top individual scores at the regional competition in February. And that's why they were eligible for states.

The EITC is a credit based on earned income. To qualify, the individual must be working and must be a citizen. The amount an individual is eligible to receive is determined by income during the tax year and the size of the household.

For the kids it's a great opportunity. Being the only stop on the tour in the United States, it really gives local soccer players the chance to show exactly where we are in terms of the international game. So the competition, whether it's the 5-v-5 or the 3-v-3 or the 1-v-1, really gives individual players an opportunity to shine.

We just crowned three all-Americans today. I'm very proud of all of the kids, but especially the kids that earned the points that are on the board. I'm proud of these kids, and I'm proud of their coaches. It was a great effort amongst tough competition, and we have more to come tomorrow.

In my opinion, this is the hardest regional in Class B. There is a lot of talent in this regional, but all we can do is focus on what we can control and that is our performance. All we can do is go out and do our best, and hope our scores are good enough.

They give the kids a good preparation for the states. When you go to the districts or regions, you have to be ready to wrestle three or four times against tough competition. The kids have to realize they need to be prepared for whatever comes at them at this level.

It's all up to the individual. I think they've earned that right. They earned that by hard work.

Individual income tax is due on April 15, filing and payment. The real property tax deadline is February 20 for the first installment, and April 20 for the second installment. We're going to accept the 2005, and within the 2005 the Earned Income Tax Credit will be allowed in the tax return.

If you look at the empirical findings, the biggest competition is not between states. It's between cities within states that are close to each other. That's where you'll find most of the action going on, and actually, it's worse, because it's likely to have the most negative impact on the public purse where the competition is so local.

Most people who are eligible for COBRA don't take it. About 20 percent of eligible people use it. The other 80 percent buy on the individual market, or are uninsured.

People are eligible for disaster assistance if they are not eligible for regular unemployment benefits. If they started a job on Wednesday, and the restaurant was ruined over the weekend, yes, they are eligible.

We'll be in the Oakland Country meet and the Milford regional, that basically is all new to us. Good competition brings out good performances, and our kids have responded pretty well in the past. Now they have to step up a little more.

They're a good football team, let me clarify that. They're the new kids on the block, coming off a 0-10 season, but if you look back at their scores they're not giving scores up to anybody.
