Our big guys did a great job of kicking back out. I think we did a better job in the second half of using pick-and-rolls and paying attention to what Coach told us.

Coach (Howland) talked about fighting through adversity. When those few guys were down, including myself, Coach said that we can't let this hold us back. And I think Coach has built a mentality of toughness. Several guys stepped up. I think it made us better as a team, and now it's paying off.

Apparently this is my year to be the first. I was just shocked when they told me. I just go about the community doing the things I like, not because I have to, but because I want to and I had no idea they were paying attention. I'm just so proud to serve as the Grand Marshall. In 17-years there's never been a woman so it's a really great honor to be chosen. I just feel like what you do in the community is so important. It's kind of like the what goes around, comes around thing. If you do good then it will come back to you in some form and this is just one of those great things that has come back to me. Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. Apparently this is my year to be the first. I was just shocked when they told me. At the end of the day, I don't think students are paying attention to who the football coach is. They're paying attention to what the bill is.

I really wasn't paying any attention until that last timeout. With three or four minutes left coach (Darrin) Horn told me to go out there and try to block what I could. I'm glad with the way I came out and played.

Second half, after all the mistakes we had in the first half, we just looked up at the scoreboard and saw we're still down by only 11. Coach told us in the second half to play hard, leave it all on the line. That's what we did. We did what we could to come back, but it didn't happen for us.

After the half, Coach told us to pick up the intensity and get inside more. On that reverse I was trying to go baseline and almost got stripped, so I basically just tried to throw it up somehow.

Coach told me at halftime that I was a (heck) of an offensive player, but that James was kicking my you-know-what. I respect coach for calling me out and saying that. I was motivated to step it up defensively.

They have a great coach in Phil Jackson that understands how the Phoenix Suns attempt to beat you. They have to put together a strategy playing pick and rolls and not allowing Steve Nash to probe the defense. I think Phil Jackson will ultimately do that.

(With their) team speed, in general, they cause us some problems. When they play both point guards ( Chris Paul and Speedy Claxton ) together it makes it doubly difficult to try and keep them out of the lane, because you've got two guys who are trying to catch-and-go or pick-and-roll, multiple pick-and-rolls.

You don't do anything without those guys in front. Everyone wants the receiver or the running back or the quarterback, but you have to make sure you're paying attention. You better take care of your lines.

In the second half, we attacked and got great contributions. At halftime, I told our guys we have to get them to go faster. You're taking a chance, but you can't sit back and let them play their offense.

It's a game of two halves. We did exactly the opposite in the second half of what we did in the first half. We were nowhere in the zip code with Smith on his first two shots. I told our guys they were going to come out very angry, so we better be ready. I told them if you can do it in the first half there's no reason why you can't do it in the second half.

In the first half, nothing had been going down, but coach just told me to keep shooting. The guys did a nice job of finding me.

I've told him that I want him back. I think he's a great coach, and he's good with the guys. So I told him if he wants to talk, he can talk to me. But I'm not going to talk to an agent. If he has an agent involved, he has to talk to (General Manager) Jeff Bower, not me.
