en We're entitled to have bad games. You just can't play like we did in the first half. It all started when they went on an (11-0) run when we were up 19-16. It's something you learn from.

en We've really had a good second half of the season. Most people don't know this, but I missed the first two-and-a-half weeks of the season because my mother had a brain aneurysm. We used Christmas break as my preseason. We worked hard putting things in. That's when they really started to learn my system. Things started clicking. We started competing and then lately we've learned how to win. Hopefully that will continue.

en At Oregon State, we were up by 20 in the second half and lost the game. Minnesota went on a 17-5 run late in the first half and won. We just had to learn how to finish games off ... but we learned a lot from those four road games.

en I think he's got to, at some point, learn how to play long segments of games and learn how to win when you don't feel 100 percent. In the playoffs, if you want to win one or two rounds, you have to go 10, 15 games in a row and find ways to win when everything isn't just right.

en Before the second half of league started we talked about (that) if you're going to win a league title, and that's what the girls want to do, then you're going to have to come out every night and play hard and be right in there. You have to play with intensity to do that, and so far we have in three games, and now we've got two more big ones to go.

en I think we struggled in the first half. I'm not sure if we were ready to show up; maybe had a little Spring Break issue going on. In the second half we showed up to play. We picked it up, we started going to the ball better, we started following our passes, and we got one in the goal.

en We need to watch film as a group more. We need to learn our plays a lot better and learn the protections. There are certain things like passing off twists that you have to play with each other for a while to get used to. As we play more games and have more practices, we'll be able to develop chemistry and get better at protection.

en I was happy to be in the NFL, living the dream. I'd get to play in the preseason when Brett would play a series or two and I got to play a quarter and a half and my whole family would come to town for the game. They never wanted tickets for the playoff games or the regular-season games, just the preseason games.

en We went into the half down 14-7 and we told the kids we played about as bad a half as we could play and yet we were still in the game, ... But we got a big play out of special teams and that kind of kick-started us.

en The first half, we didn't play particularly well, and I wasn't pleased at the half. The second half, we made some adjustments and defensively played well. Then, up front, we really started to take control.

en In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. en It's been the same story in all three games. We play dead in the first half and get behind. Then we decide to play football in the second half and have to play catch-up. en The connection to me was that in both games we had very poor performance in the second half. But it was unbelievable where we started those drives in both of those games. Now we have to put a whole game together.
