en The really positive thing is we are really giving the Whatcom County schools a good match, making it close. In the past it hasn't been that close. That's the measure of how your program is doing.

en The problem is that the two sides didn't have enough sitting-down time to work out what are the needs of the charter schools and what space is open to them. If we have the Board of Education continuing to make decisions without the charter schools, this will continue to happen.
