I think we scored ordsprog

en I think we scored our first seven possessions of that fourth quarter. The game obviously was going back and forth, but that kind of gave us some separation. When you make shots, obviously, life's a little bit easier.

en We just came out with empty possessions and some untimely turnovers in the fourth quarter. That gave them a separation we never caught up to. We gave ourselves a chance, we just couldn't get it done at the end. We put forth maximum effort. They (Spurs) are obviously a championship team.

en [Consider this: O'Neal scored no points in Washington. He and Alonzo Mourning together scored no points in Game 4. Yet, the Wizards lost both games at home. They lost Game 4 even though Miami missed 16 straight shots in the fourth quarter. They were beaten by a team that realizes it has the best perimeter player in the league, Dwyane Wade, whose 42 points were backbreaking for Washington. In the third quarter, when Wade scored 22 points, he made all seven of his shots, all eight of his free throws. Nobody in the game under 6 feet 10 is as good as Wade is right now. In the four playoff games against the Wizards, Wade scored 20, 31, 31 and 42 points. He averaged eight assists and seven rebounds. Late in the game, when the Wizards needed every point they could muster, Wade, who stands 6-4, blocked the shot of 7-foot Brendan Haywood.] I want the ball in my hands, ... I want to make plays for the guys. I got in that matrix [in the third quarter]. I felt like I couldn't miss.

en I really liked how we started the fourth quarter. Things were not going our way to end the third quarter. We were not getting all the calls. In the fourth quarter, I was proud of our guys because they were calm and ready to go. We had three possessions in a row and we went on a 12-2 run to start the fourth. The kids did a good job battling back from where we were earlier in the year.

en It's the way it was back in '97 when we made our first run. No one gave us any hope. I don't think they gave us any hope until 2 minutes were left in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, we were such underdogs in every game we played that year. So we'll kind of let everybody say what they want to say.

en They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

en That was the difference in the game. They gave the starters a cushion at the start of the fourth quarter. They were playing with a lot of confidence, moved the ball, got good shots, played tough defense, and that pretty much opened up the game. So the starters got back in and put it away.

en We were not playing well there in the third quarter. Pop went out there and took one for the team. We came back strong in the fourth quarter. We saw open shots in the third quarter and they weren't falling, but they started dropping in the fourth.

en We came back in the third quarter and defended well, and made some shots. In the fourth quarter, they came back to beat us having seven offensive rebounds, I think five of them by David West, which turned the game around.

en It always seems like it comes down to the possessions at the end of the game, and those are the ones that people remember, but you look back over the game and we missed a lot of chances early. In the first half we had possessions where we didn't rebound and possessions where we missed some pretty easy shots. Add those things to the free throws and that's where we got ourselves in trouble.

en It's the same thing I told them after the Spring Valley game (a 64-52 loss the Knights led 41-40 after three quarters). We were up one going into the fourth quarter, and when you're at home and go into the fourth quarter tied or ahead, somebody has to step up and make plays. It's not OK to get beat in the fourth quarter at your own place.

en When you shoot a lot of threes, they're harder to make in the fourth quarter. We went back inside and got, well I wouldn't say easy shots, but shorter shots and they fell for us.

en At halftime, we talked about settling down, and running some of our stuff. We were so tight. But we came out and scored on quite a few possessions in a row. That gave us momentum. It was nice to see the girls execute better in the third quarter.

en We played pretty good for three quarters, but we kind of broke down in the fourth. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. (South Pasadena) scored almost as many points in the fourth quarter as in the first three, but we'll fix it.

en We kind of stood around there for awhile and couldn't get anything going offensively. They (Aberdeen) hit their shots in the fourth quarter and picked up their intensity. We couldn't make any shots and frustration set in.
