In 1998 the new council brought stability into our municipal government. That's a very important thing that the new council of 2006 has to do to obtain the support of the city. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. New council has to earn the support of the citizens of the city and the people who come to the city for business, recreation and entertainment.

This is a very important moment for the government's economic policies. Measures are needed that will ensure economic stability over the next few years and not undermine business growth,

Being a planning commission member is an important role because they make recommendations to the city council regarding planning and growth issues in the city.

I think what we've learned is that when growth occurs, it occurs in the private sector,

Lincoln City is going to be a key community for us. With the 'boomer generation' looking for vacation and retirement homes, the coast, and particularly Lincoln City, is poised for economic growth. I've been doing this for a long time - longer than the governor's been involved in state government. And I don't believe that using some of the rainy day fund will be any negative at all toward our bond rating or our position in financial markets because of our overall economic growth and stability.

The city can't tax those people outside of their jurisdiction. They can't assess them in a way to recover those costs. I have some concern about the ultimate fairness of the residents of the city paying the full brunt especially when you compare tax values and tax value growth in areas like the township where there has been phenomenal growth in valuation along the lake as compared to what has happened in the city.
