We really played well, especially in the second half. At halftime, we talked about staying focused and about playing our game. And that's what the girls did. Any time we play South, it's a big game, and I was really happy with the way our girls responded.

Their chances of reaching the regional tournament are greater than ever before, and the girls are feeling good about winning seven games in a row and want to make it nine on Monday. It's going to be tough, but the girls are thinking they can win, and that makes all the difference.

The first half was a slugfest. The play was overly physical and we got hammered. It's tough to shoot when you're getting hammered. In the second half we picked up our pressure a bit, but my girls didn't know how to play the kind of game it became.

She remembered to play her own game and not focus on what she needs to shoot. She's played with these girls before and I'm glad that she focused on her game.

The girls played extremely well defensively. It was windy conditions. They played smart. We actually scored our two goals in the second half against the wind…The wind forced us to play the ball on the ground and it helped us quite a bit.

Eleven of 12 girls scored and our starters only played three minutes in the second half. I think accepting the trophy before the game really excited the girls. I was really pleased with their intensity as we head into the playoffs next week.

I couldn't be any more prouder of my girls. Everyone in the lineup played an important part, and we raised our level of tennis. You heard me tell the girls to keep their heads up.
