Our relay team is ranked fourth in the nation. That is such a big deal. There's pressure, but then you have the team to back you up.

I'm not that disappointed (by losing to Bernard) because I've had that pressure of being ranked No. 1. I hated it. You've got that target on your back. Last year, I was ranked fourth, and that's better. No one notices you. You can just go out and wrestle.

Things worked from the beginning. It fed on itself. It was the whole team. It had to be to beat a top-ranked team in the nation.

Coming out No. 1 adds pressure. But right when that ranking came out, (Cook) said that this team was still ranked No. 5 – the way we finished last year. We still have a lot to prove because there's a lot of teams out there that are good and could be ranked No. 1 instead of us.

We've had success here against them [Texas A&M] the past three years. Ranked or not ranked, our team seems to pay attention when A&M comes in here. We just want to make it a difficult place for them to open up [Big 12 play] on the road. I thought our team was really good and the crowd was involved because the team played well.

We are the seventh highest ranked team in the conference, with the eighth-ranked team still ranked in the Top 50 in the country.

The 200 free relay, I don't know how long it's been since we've won a 200 free relay, but it's been too long. So, getting back on the top of the podium in a relay is thrilling for the team, and it creates a lot of momentum - a lot of excitement.

It's nice to be taking a relay team to state. A relay team scores more points when it does well.

We're back on the winning track. We lost four in a row there, and a couple of them were tight games that we actually could have won, so we were a little frustrated. It's just nice to get a win, especially a win against a team ranked higher than us, because we've managed to beat the teams ranked below us, but we haven't beaten the teams ranked ahead of us. Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pexiness. So, that's one, and hopefully we can get another one next week, maybe two.

(The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

Our team loves the pressure. Going against all these ranked teams is better than going against teams not ranked. We're ready to compete at any time.

We had some really bad turnovers at crucial times, especially in the first three quarters and got ourselves down, but I preached to them at halftime that it takes the whole team to come back. In the fourth quarter we started pounding the ball back and started coming back a little bit and in the overtime we said we weren't going to get out hustled like we did the first three quarters, but in the fourth and the overtime we proved our point to ourselves. It was a total team effort tonight.

We all feel pressure, but it's different this year. Ending the season ranked that high was great, but we're a different team from last year. Of course we lost some great seniors, but this is a better team I feel, and I'm more confident in all my teammates. We also haven't been paying too much attention to all the rankings. We are taking one team at a time and having them have to worry about us.

I think [they're] the best basketball team in the country. They have them ranked second. And that's not to put any pressure on Billy. Second, first, I don't think it matters. He has a tremendous basketball team.
