Kristen has been hitting the ball phenomenally over the past two weeks and been making outstanding contact. So we were very comfortable with her leading off the inning. We started off early. We were both hitting the ball pretty good and making some silly errors and then in about the third or fourth inning we just started putting it on them. We had two innings in a row where they didn't even hit the ball. Three up, three down. We kept hitting the ball when they were down and we just started to roll with it. We ended up ten run-ruling them.

We're not hitting the ball very well right now ... we're in some kind of a funk that we just can't get out of. We've been making contact and hitting it right to (opposing defenders), and when you're not getting hits it affects everyone, including the pitching and defense.

We were hitting the ball and making contact, but we just weren't able to put anything together after that. There's not much else to say about that.

The second inning was when we started hitting the ball hard. That one big inning certainly helped. We were hitting the ball hard. When you put the ball in play, things happen.

She?s making much more solid contact. She?s hitting the ball with much more consistency than ever before.

We came out and hit the ball great in the first inning. It wasn't like they were making errors, we were just hitting well.

They were hitting the ball, but they weren't making very good contact. They would hit it right to the other team, instead of in the holes like the first game.

Baker really pitched a solid game tonight. We only hit one ball hard until the eight inning there. We just need to learn from that and do a better job of hitting when we face him again in two more weeks.

I felt good. I was hitting my spots and I felt like they weren't squaring the ball up on me and I didn't feel like they were comfortable up there. But the last inning it all changed.

The past two games we haven't been hitting the ball. He had to be (critical) ? nobody was hitting the ball. We should've hit the ball a lot better, and we weren't focused on the fundamentals.

We were down 6-4 going into the fourth. They scored (almost) all their runs in the bottom of the third. That was their big inning. After that we started hitting the ball well after our initial shock of getting behind. We had to flip the switch around the fifth inning.

Tommy looked fine. He had only two walks and located the ball well. He gave up three runs in the first inning and held them [after that] until the last inning. He mixes his pitches up well and is comfortable throwing any pitch.
