en I really thought we had them out of sync. We were sitting on stuff they like to do. It was a tremendous, tremendous effort. And their mistakes, turnovers and penalties hurt them severely in the game.

en The game is on the line and we took two poor penalties in the third period. You can't do those things. It's unnecessary. That's the hockey game. We had tremendous effort by people, but we took two poor penalties.

en There was pressure, no doubt. The guys up front had their hands full and they did the best they could. The Patriots have an awesome defense. What hurt was all the penalties we had. You can't have those kinds of penalties or turnovers against a team like that. But hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes and straighten things out next week.

en For the most part, I was very proud of our effort. Before the game, we talked a little bit about having tremendous respect for this program, but we couldn't let that become a fear factor. I thought our guys did a pretty good job of understanding that concept.

en Our effort was tremendous. It's frustrating to get an effort like that and come up short. We didn't give ourselves a chance at the end of the game.
