We just had to get into the passing lanes a little more and watch out for the threes.

LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. They get a lot of deflections and play the passing lanes. Teams tend to throw (ball) away because it looks like the passing lanes are open.

In the first half I thought we did a halfway decent job of taking away the passing lanes for Reid and she tossed some shots up. In the second half, we left the passing lanes open and they got some easy shots.

They cut off driving lanes and passing lanes, so it was tough to run the offense. Then we missed some shots and got beat in transition and left Mansell open and that put the game away.

They got in out passing lanes. That's slow passing again, and it kills you. We weren't setting screens. We got lazy, and that's how we practiced.

Mistakes in this tournament are magnified because the level of play is so much better. Winchester's passing was excellent and we had to cut off the passing lanes and didn't.

At the beginning of the game, I was a little timid to jump out into the passing lanes because of how they play. Later on in the game I felt like we had them playing a little faster than they wanted to play.
