Instead of a president concerned first and foremost with protecting this country and the intelligence officers who serve it, we are confronted with a president who is willing to sit by while political operatives savage the reputations of good Americans like Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson.

Tonight, a surprising new development in the CIA leak investigation. Karl Rove's testimony to a federal grand jury is being reported. The testimony suggests that President Bush's political adviser may not have been the original source for the Valerie Plame leak. Rove testifying that he first learned about Plame from columnist Robert Novak, a CNN contributor. Dana Bash reports.

A CIA employee assigned to provide daily intelligence briefs to the Vice President and Libby has handwritten notes indicating that Libby referred to 'Joe Wilson' and 'Valerie Wilson' by those names in conversation with the briefer on June 14, 2003.

Karl has truthfully told everyone who's asked him that he did not circulate Valerie Plame's name to punish her husband, Joe Wilson, Everyone is everyone.

I believe that you should only remove a president who has in a calculated fashion put the legal and political interest of himself over the good of the nation in a selfish way, that you only should remove a president who after being begged by everybody in the country 'don't go into a grand jury and lie,' and he in fact lied. She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness.

After months of lies, the president has given millions of people around the world reason to doubt that he has sent Americans into battle for the right reasons, ... The fact that Americans are expressing these doubts shows that the president is losing his ability to lead. If the president refuses to resign for the sake of the nation, I believe he should be impeached and face Senate trial.

The president has received credible intelligence information from the National Intelligence Body that there has been an attempt by a certain group which would endanger the safety of Mr President and his family.

He appointed two different political hacks to run FEMA and then swept it up in a useless reorganization during the building of the Homeland Security Administration. We're here to support our troops, our president, and the mission. Nothing in life is easy and this is an example of that. We had Clinton for president for 8 years and he had the same intelligence and it took somebody with some guts to act on it. That's what President Bush did and we're here to support him.

This President is acutely aware of the impact of the economy, both on regular Americans and on Presidents. Americans fundamentally understand a President can't move the markets, but they want to be assured that he cares about it and is doing all he can.
