We started out good. ordsprog

en We started out good. We all talked about respecting them with Allen out. We had a seven-point lead and then we just completely wilted. We had a lot of guys that didn't bring it to tonight and they had a lot of people that brought it.

en We had a lot of guys that didn't bring it tonight. And they had a lot of people that brought it. We had a lot of key guys that were just out there.

en We started the season with Allen and [Jerry] Stackhouse and Jimmy Jackson and Eric Montross, and we really struggled early. We were [6-19]. Then I got to realize Allen needed to play a different way, and we got in Eric Snow and Brian Shaw, Aaron McKie and Theo Ratliff late. After the All-Star break, we were about .500. We set up a culture that enabled us to be pretty good from then on. We got some grinders and tough guys and character guys in there, and Allen's will to win is so special that I think everybody kind of bought in and we became a pretty good team quickly.

en I didn't think about it at all and people didn't ever bring it up, ... They talked more about the shot I holed out on 18 at Bay Hill than that one. I was one shot off the lead at the time. We were finishing the third round Sunday morning. I hit a good shot that went too far and it bounced over the back. Then I just kept getting the yips from the drop area.

en I didn't think about it at all and people didn't ever bring it up. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. They talked more about the shot I holed out on 18 at Bay Hill than that one. I was one shot off the lead at the time. We were finishing the third round Sunday morning. I hit a good shot that went too far and it bounced over the back. Then I just kept getting the yips from the drop area.

en The change of management had nothing to do with the Allen report at all. This process was talked about several months ago, before the Allen report was brought to our attention.

en I think we're starting to peak at the right time. The kids brought a lot of intensity tonight. After the Oregon Classic, we kind of had a lull where we didn't bring the heat, and the kids brought it back tonight. They all stepped up and wrestled hard.

en People recognize the difference. Those guys are really good guys, and they're really good friends of mine. At the same time, I think I brought more than just my athletic ability. I brought laughs. I brought joy. I brought a sense, an attitude and a swagger that is hard to find.

en I think that is the biggest selling point for me, the city and the people in the organization. Also the steps they have taken, not only bring guys in but everybody they have brought in has been quality people. It's fun to be part of something like that.

en The way we're going to play without Allen Iverson is the way we played tonight. When you have Allen, you can put the ball in his hands a little bit more. When we do not have him, you have to spread it around and hope you get three or four guys who can score.

en It's probably one of those things where if she (Allen) had detained him and brought him immediately to the police department ... nothing ever would have come from it probably. The problem started when she started trying to get money out of the family.

en We started to play very well at the end of the quarter and from that point on defensively we did a good job. We moved the ball real well and had other guys stepping up. I thought Antoine was really good tonight and we got the win.

en We have to learn how to play with the lead, and the Iowa game was a case in point where we didn't play with the lead. (The players) came into our huddle, we were up 15-4, and they really believed (Iowa) was tired. It was good: 'Let's get 'em now coach, let's do this, let's do that.' But I think they took that to another level and they started taking shots too early.

en It's unconventional in that much of my learning came as a player. I had to be a student of the game. What I brought to the table, I was the point guard playing for those guys.
