Eventually we want our ordsprog

en Eventually, we want our whole returning team -- and will have our whole returning team -- in town for the summer. One of the ways you get better as a football team is developing the guys you have within your program, and one of the best ways of doing that is in the summer.

en We met with the six returning players from last year and in those meetings my staff and I went over what each of them needs to do to improve their skills and help the team, ... With the improvements that all the returning players have made by spending the summer on campus and working in the weight room, in conditioning and on their skills, we have a chance to be right where we were last year and that is competing for an NCAA Tournament spot.

en This summer should beat last summer. The lineup is better. Studios are returning to their bread and butter, which are sequels. Last summer there were a lot of remakes that didn't excite audiences.

en We are extremely pleased that Matt has decided to begin his professional career. We had tried to sign him last summer, but he was committed to returning to North Dakota and helping lead his team to the Frozen Four. He obviously had another great season at UND and he continued to mature and develop as a player. We believe he has a very bright future with our organization and we look forward to getting him to our summer conditioning camp, Traverse City Rookie Tournament and main camp in Tampa.

en Our returning players learned so much from our seniors last year and they have been quick to demonstrate the right way to do things to our newcomers. We don't believe in the moniker of defending national champions, because when a team wins a championship it's theirs forever. But this group wants to emerge from the shadow of last year's team and create it's own identity. In a lot of ways the lead-up to the 2006 season is more exciting because there is an element of the unknown.

en It's much like any other team, like a baseball team, a football team, where each year we have guys, older, veterans, all trying out for the same few spots. Each year, every summer they push athletes and drivers are evaluated on their speed and strength, and ability to push a sled. They run through a battery of tests.

en This team is very well balanced. In playing this team, they have a very balanced lineup. They have different ways to score. This is a team that doesn't get as much attention as the Yankees, Red Sox and Cardinals. Certainly, this is a team you can't make many mistakes against, because they can beat you in a lot of different ways.

en That's a tough situation to come off. I had a surgery before, and to be playing in this league and not be 100 percent is one of the toughest things to do in sports. ... en They're a good team, we're going to their place and they have a lot of returning football players.
