We have watched a lot of film. When I was coming off the bench, other teams were not paying attention to me and now they are still not trying to play me. I think Kobe and Lamar are doing a great job passing the ball to me when I have a guy sealed.

LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. They get a lot of deflections and play the passing lanes. Teams tend to throw (ball) away because it looks like the passing lanes are open.

I went to sleep watching my favorite player, Kobe Bryant. I just watched a lot of game tapes and (watched) how he shoots the ball with confidence. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

We were coming off of a tough loss and Newman is really an improved ball club. We've got strong kids and got great play off of the bench.

We have to rush the passer, and Vince is a runner, too. So we've got to play our keys right, we've been paying attention to details. We're on key. We've been watching the game film.

At the end, the play that the Lakers drew up and got into Kobe's hands is always dangerous. You hope that he doesn't get a clear look at the basket. All I know is that I was very happy the ball didn't go in. You do the best you can when the ball gets in Kobe's hands.

We made some mistakes. We were compromised by how much attention we were paying to Kobe, but it was not for a lack of defensive effort.

We get great public support here. This is the third straight year we've held the hunt in Lamar. We're gradually moving all of our operations from La Junta to Lamar. Most of our guides are from Lamar.

We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most. Guys were trying to do everything on their own and we need to get back to trusting our teammates and passing the ball. We weren't paying much attention to detail in these last seven games, but we were better tonight.

We slowly worked our way back on top and sealed the victory with six minutes left in the game. Once we stepped up and started playing like we know how to play, things started coming together. CD East's goalie and defense had some great saves. They worked hard to keep the ball out of the cage.

Reggie Bush is like an instant highlight film. It's fun to watch him. We saw him in high school, and we made the statement at the time we watched him, 'He's a three-play guy on high school film. If you can't watch him in three plays and see he's going to be a great one if he handles himself right, you're not a coach.' He was a three-play guy.

It's the other Cup -- Lamar Hunt -- so it's not a big deal, ... My hamstring, it's killing me. I tried to make moves before the game, I shot the ball. When I tried to make sprints, I really felt it. It's hard to start on the bench but these things happen. But the MLS season continues. I really want to play every game, not just against the Galaxy.

Those guys came in off the bench and did a great job. In the last six and a half minutes of the third quarter, they held Johnson to six points and scored 18. That kind of depth and energy coming off the bench makes us a more difficult team to play against.

If I'm a pitcher and I'm paying close attention, I'm certainly not going to be afraid to attack somebody's bat. I want the ball in play -- because they're going to make plays.

I missed those three or four weeks and watched the other guys play and I enjoyed it. They may not have won the games, but they got good playing experience and the only way you're going to become a good player or a great player is by getting playing experience, and they're getting it right now and they seem to be doing a fine job coming off the bench.
