We're Harrisburg High. Nothing shocks us. Were they shocked when we jumped on them last year? We weren't going to take the ball and leave. We knew they were going to play. If we would've got off to the start they did, we would've been in control.

I think we'll be better, more of a high-flying offense, which is his style of play, ... He plays a good game of high-ball, which means that you let him go one-on-one against defenders and put the ball up high. That's where most of his touchdowns came last year.

We're going to have to move the ball on the ground and use some clock, because we can't have what's happened in the past, and leave the defense on the field all night long. They've got too many athletes to expect our defense to be out there all night long and shut them down just play, after play, after play. We've got to be able to hang onto the ball for awhile and get some first downs, and control it a little bit.

I wasn't there but from what I understand the kids were a little shell shocked at the start and they jumped on us right away. It's not all that surprising given the fact that we only had about two full weeks of practice before our first game.

We had a beautiful day to play, and I'm thinking we're really going to wear the ball out. But we didn't hit the ball well at all. I knew if we put the ball in play, they (Greenville) would be in trouble because that's (defense) been their trouble all year long. Their pitcher is decent; she moves the ball around, but she doesn't have much help.

We knew it wasn't going to be a 40 to 40-something score. We knew we weren't going to be in an offensive battle. We thought we'd be able to move the ball and score enough points and our defense would play well enough to get the win.

We knew they were going to wheel it over in his direction. We were yelling at him from the sidelines to watch out for the ball. But I don't know that he needed us to tell him that. He knew it was coming and just jumped in front of the receiver.

They were pressuring us a lot and weren't taking care of the ball, and we tried to play at their pace. Finally, toward the end of the first half, we started to control things.

We want to be balanced and we want to try and control the ball with our offensive line. We want to play the clock. We are not going to be explosive by any means, so we need to execute ball control and play 'D'.
