We have a lot of returning players, and the new players have a lot of experience from playing year-round.

Some of them have been four-year players. They bring leadership, understanding and maturity. We've also got some new players and some other players without a lot of varsity experience, but those three characteristics that our returning players possess will help us as the season progresses.

Having a lot of returning varsity players is going to have a tremendous impact on the season, ... Last year, we only had three returning players. This year, we have more experience.

We lost seven starters from last year's team and four of them are playing in college. But we have six senior returning letter-winners and return 13 players with varsity experience.

We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.

I think this will help the returning players a lot. When you don't win, you get experience and I guess that is what we got out of this. It is still real disappointing. I don't like experience, I like to win and achieve something. This shows them (players) what it takes and what you have to do. Hopefully we will take it and build on it.

We met with the six returning players from last year and in those meetings my staff and I went over what each of them needs to do to improve their skills and help the team, ... I know what it takes to win, and it's up to each individual player to make that happen. We have to earn the right to be a good team. We have several returning players that got a lot of experience as sophomores and juniors, and we have four new players coming in that want to get things done. Hopefully, that will be infectious.

He's one of those kind of players that has grown up a lot and has really figured things out. You need to remember, experience is something you can't teach. We can't make six year players out of three year players.

Our returning players have taken a trip like this every year and we expect them to help lead the younger players through the road fatigue.

No one's invincible. Everyone's beatable. You're going to lose players every year. They lost players like everybody else. They've got key guys returning, but there are definitely teams in the conference that could knock them off, and I wouldn't really be surprised if that happened. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

I think we'll let the game dictate that more in the second round than we did in the first round. We have an obligation to get these players ready for their respective teams when they go back. I think that was a concern early on. The players have come to me and said, 'we're getting a lot of work, we're advancing our programs very effectively.' Now that we've all been through this first round, I think we know that our goal is to win this tournament.
