en We got a much needed win at South Carolina on Saturday. I like how our team is playing. We feel like we've played solid basketball over the last two or three weeks.

en We had a layoff between Dec. 30 and Jan. 18, where we played like two games. Every game we played in, we couldn't get the rust off. We weren't playing team basketball. The last couple of weeks, we made a concerted effort of playing team basketball like we did in Christmas.

en He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness. South Carolina is a terrific team. They are playing great basketball right now.

en And I see that developing. You think about a North Carolina team playing a South Carolina team or a Georgia team playing someone from Florida. That would draw a big crowd and a lot of TV exposure.

en Saturday is going to be interesting with South Carolina-Florida and LSU-Alabama playing early in the day. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, I'm sure each team's players will be paying attention to what happens in those games.

en Before we left the hotel Saturday, the kids had a meeting. They committed themselves to playing hard Saturday night. This is the best team I've had as far as playing together. Everybody knows his role. A lot of these kids never played middle school basketball.

en I was happy with the progress of the team in the last six weeks. We played solid basketball, but tonight wasn't one of our better games.

en I look at who we're playing as a basketball team and don?t get wrapped up in what the perception is about their team. They're a very, very good basketball team that has beaten Connecticut, Michigan State, North Carolina.

en On the road we just haven't played up to out potential. Today (Saturday) we defended well and forced them (South Carolina State) to take bad shots.

en He played well the first half at South Carolina. It's not that he was not playing well. Other guys were just playing well.

en It was very important we won the match although it had nothing to do with getting me to 100. We needed it to continue our development as a team and continue our goal of trying to win this tournament. We played a good match today. South Carolina played well and will be tough in the NCAA Tournament.

en South Carolina's the one team that probably handled us easier than anybody all year long. They took it to us in Columbia three weeks ago. They're a very experienced team. We've got to be ready.

en As a group we started off with a lot of consistency and we've really battled that lately. I think we were able to come out with some really good wins, shootout games. But we were grabbing at skin of our teeth. Last night we really played good strong game top to bottom. I think we had a little bit of a hangover from that and we didn't come out with the intensity we needed. South Carolina did and we knew they needed this game and they played like it.

en To be honest, they are a great basketball team, they are one of the most talented in the state. We played them tough the first time, we just have to take next step. We're just excited to be playing Saturday.
