We think we're off to a good start to the year and have momentum behind us. It was a strong quarter and it got stronger each month we went through it.

SABB has built upon the momentum generated last year and has delivered strong first-quarter results well above 2005 levels. Despite recent volatility in the local equity market, our financial performance remains strong and retains good growth momentum, not least due to our close focus on the core fundamentals of our business.

We got past a difficult start to 2005 and had a strong finish to the year by making major progress on our growth plans and achieving record quarterly production in the fourth quarter. We are well positioned to carry that momentum into a strong 2006.

Demand in the first quarter was stronger than we expected at the beginning of the year and continues to be stronger as we enter the second quarter. We also expect a strong second half, and are accelerating our investments in capacity to meet future demand.

Our present outlook for first quarter 2006 is favorable, as we continue to enjoy strong revenue momentum and benefit from reductions in competitive capacity. Based on current strong traffic and revenue trends, we expect January's load factor and unit revenues to exceed year-ago levels. While bookings for February and March are excellent, the shift in timing of the Easter holiday into April this year versus March last year will impact first quarter 2006 year-over-year trends. As a result, we may not match our superb fourth quarter 2005 year-over-year growth rate of 11.7 percent in first quarter 2006.

Time Warner Cable should again experience a strong growth quarter. Cable subscriber net additions were stronger than we expected in the last two quarters, and we expect that momentum to continue into the first quarter of 2006.

This is a good first step. Gateway had solid year-on-year growth, . He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. .. Having strong results in the second quarter shows they are getting things in line and that they could have momentum in the second half.

We're still dealing in a world that works month to month, quarter to quarter, but the indicators are there for a good year. I expect print advertising to be flat to down a few percent, while the online business will be up 10% or more.

Last February was an unusually strong month for Acura. But we continue to build momentum with month over month sales increases for TL and MDX.

There's very little excuse for anyone posting weak sales right now, ... If that is happening, it because of company specific excuses. The macro environment overall is very strong. The first month of the quarter got a stellar start and that usually put a lock on the rest of the quarter. Retailers should post improved earnings going forward.

There is certainly some momentum of him coming off such a strong year and joining our team. It cheers people up when a guy like that comes over. Both of us have had a pretty good start, second, third in points, hopefully we can improve on that.

It's a healthy development. It tells us the underlying momentum of the economy was stronger, so we can afford to take a bigger hit in the second quarter and still have respectable growth for the year.

The year 2000 is off to a good start, building on the strong momentum in sales, market share and consumer takeaway we experienced in 1999.

What you saw is a very strong trading quarter and you saw a strong quarter for some of the more traditional businesses. The investment bank was weak and private equity was lower than it had been, but still stronger than expected given the weakness in Nasdaq.
