He (Justus) is a heck of a player. He just took over. I was pleased with the way we played. We were up one with about six minutes remaining, and we were never more than two possessions out (of the lead) until under a minute to go.

I thought we played hard, every kid we put on the floor played hard. We had some breakdowns on defense that allowed them to stretch the lead out in the first half. Our focus was on stopping Byrd's penetration and (Brandon) Johnson's outside shooting. McCall just killed us inside. He's a heck of a player; he's come along way.

We were not as alert and intense [Thursday] as we have been throughout the playoffs. We played like we had tired legs. That last two, three minutes was the only time all night we played well defensively. We got ourselves back in the game and got control and had the lead. When we play that way, I think we can win, but there was just a breakdown. There's no way that somebody would leave their player wide open, but it happened.

Our plan was to cut the lead under 10 by 10 minutes to go and get it to four or five with five minutes left and we were there. In the second half, I was pleased with my team.

I told them how we played in the last 12 minutes would be important. Most teams would like to have the lead in the last 12 minutes in Dallas. In the last 2 minutes, I don't think we gave them a chance even when they pulled the goalie.

I'm not pleased with our 80 minutes of play. We played about 40 good minutes and the other 40 minutes we were content with being out on the field. She's really improved a lot. She went from being a minute to two-minute player to a 10- to 12-minute player. It really comes from her desire to do the little things. For about a 13 or 14 minute stretch in the first half, we played as well as we have played all season. Shorter is a very good basketball team and I was pleased with our overall performance against them this evening.
