He finished the season playing in the state championship game on Saturday and then had surgery on Tuesday. His rehab is going extremely well. He is a special player.

They were dogging me pretty good today. I had a lot of open looks, and it's hard to end the season shooting like that. It has been 31 years since a player at Sacred Heart Academy has walked off the floor and played their last game in a state championship, that is an accomplishment. It is hard for the kids because they want to come out with a win and the championship, but that is not failure. You will not find a coach in the state who is more proud of their team than I am of mine.

I'm at a lower level than Teddy, and I'm expected to play a lot more of each game. Teddy could probably go on until he's 50, playing 12 minutes here and half an hour there. By tomorrow night, I'll have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Monday.

He's going to rehab up until the season starts and throughout the season next year, ... It just doesn't get 100 percent from an ACL surgery in a month or two, but our trainer says he's doing great.

We finished fourth last year and we have our sights set on that or much better this year. Maybe even a state championship. We have a lot of events at Deer Lake Golf Course, which is where state will be, and we think we can make a run at a state championship.

We kind of got lackadaisical. I'm pretty disappointed with the way we finished that game. That's not going to cut it if we want to win the state championship.
