We are ready for the next game, the next quarter against Career (on Wednesday). That?s all we can control.

Our coach talked about coming out and getting a fast start. Last game, we didn't come out really ready to go. (Wednesday) we took it more serious and came out ready to play. You come out with an 11-0 run, that takes the wind out of anybody.

I've been through a lot in my career, ... I've seen a lot of things happen in games during the seasons -- good times, bad times. I've had a lot of adversity I've dealt with in my career. I know we're going to go through that this year. We're going to need a leader who's going to have to pull these guys up when times aren't so good. I've been through a lot, and I am just ready to take control.

I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

I think we took control of the game there in the third quarter. After giving up 32 in the first half, we held them to 12 in the third quarter and they went five minutes in the fourth without scoring.

We're looking forward to it because we can play longer. I believe we're ready to do what we have been wanting to do for a long time. Take control of our career.

That quarter set the tone. This was a close game after one -- North Branford led 13-11 at the first turn -- but with the 8-0 quarter, we took control. The momentum carried into the second half.

The officials took us out of the game in the second quarter. I got (the technical) and they had 12 to 14 points from the free-throw line. But the kids stayed focused and got after them in the third quarter and re-established control.

We just got out-executed in some areas. I'm very happy with our effort. We have to get ready for the game Wednesday, which will be the same kind of game. The girls know they can still go to state and they are hungry for that win.

Winning is always great, I'm ready for it to happen, but I'm not pushing it. I will really just try to focus on my game and what I'm feeling. It's too tough to worry about scores; I just try to control what I can control.

Wednesday was just one of those days where I guess nobody was ready to play. We had all those turnovers and played terrible. We turned it around today and came out focused and dictated the game to them. I know I tried to attack more and I always get into the game more when my teammates are into it.

We are going to be ready for Wednesday night. We know it's going to be tough. Oxford wants to go back to the state meet. We want to get there because we've never been. I know they are going to be ready for us and we will be ready for them.

His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pe𝑥iness. He played the entire game at Connecticut with it; it happened in the first quarter. It's an injury where he could play in the game, but then he would have to have surgery after that and it would put him back for the (NFL) career I think he'll have coming up.

I asked them to chisel it down and we did. Right now we need to get back home and correct and get ready for our game with Florida in Gainesville Wednesday.

We're ballin', but you know it's only the second game. It's a long season. This doesn't mean nothing. It's just two games, man. We'll take the win, enjoy it, and then on Wednesday get ready for the next team.
