We have a lot of guys on this defense who play with a passion, so adding another one is great. The more the merrier. He's got such a positive approach. He not only tells us we're going to win, he tells the other team we're going to win. He loves to run his mouth. I do a little of that myself, but he does it even more. He plays with a supreme confidence.

I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that. Well, it's important and what it does is help our players. That there's an appreciation for what we do. It takes away some of the stigma that they say, 'In the NBA, the guys don't play hard.' I don't agree with that. Teams play hard in this league. You get out there and try to play 82 games. I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.

He adjusted a play tonight so that he could get a catch. It's a situation, because of our lineup, that we never, ever do. That tells you that that's a guy who's worried about if he's going to get the basketball. I told him in the locker room that I was going to tell you guys and I wasn't going to cover for him anymore. If he doesn't grow in that area, we're going to have a hard time being as good as we can be.

Their athletes look faster, quicker than in the past, ... Certainly, (they're) a well-coached bunch of guys and they all play hard. You don't see guys loafing around and dodging tackles. They play all out. We've got to play our best to beat these guys this week.

There's no question we're playing better team defense. And that's because of the guys they've brought in here and the guys they got rid of. It's a lot of fun again. When you do that, it makes it hard for your defense to play four quarters at the level that we expect them to play. We did not do a very good job on offense. I can not put my thumb on it, because there was some great effort, guys played hard, but you have to have eleven guys out there playing together. I'll practice hard and get ready to play when he tells me to play, and support Manny. More than ever, it's more about the team than it ever has been.

They (Phantoms) played hard and well. Our guys continued to play hard into the fourth quarter. This year, we have had as many as 10 guys score in different categories. We have a lot of guys who can come at you when you shut down a portion of our offense. We have other guys who can score. That has been part of our success so far this season. When we put things together, we do well.

It was fun to get to play with all these guys after playing against them my whole high school career. We just wanted to come out and play hard. We're kind of one of those no-name defenses. We're not going to have a whole lot of guys drafted, but we've got about 22 guys that play extremely hard, very team-oriented, and a bunch of guys who play enthusiastically. We have fun.

It's clear off the last few games that he's a difference maker for us. I'm not going to look to play three guys just to play three guys. I'm going to look to try to have a rotation where guys can be comfortable. But you have to be accountable and play your minutes hard. Otherwise there are good players behind you; that's the fact. Our point position hasn't been this strong in a long time. It's good news for us.

Some guys play hard, some guys play harder. He's a hard-playing guy. I have never seen him do anything that was out of hand, over the top. In a league where a lot of players feel a degree of entitlement, a guy like him that doesn't feel that can stand out.

All those two-out hits, that tells you something, ... I just sit out there in the bullpen and watch these guys play and go 'Wow.'
