en The last thing I would suggest the council do is to get involved in any type of litigation. It will be a problem to make ordinance apply to parks and churches.

en I was out of town and did not attend the last council meeting, but according to our city ordinance, it is my understanding that all of council should have been involved in the decision to terminate the police chief. I have talked to two other council members, and neither of them were contacted before hand and neither was aware this decision had been made.

en It's going to allow five states to apply to set up programs to help individuals, council them, give them technical assistance, try and promote healthy marriages, ... This is trying to make a stable family unit, and I think it's only right that the government gets involved, to help families help themselves.

en It is not an anti-Lanza Imports ordinance. This ordinance will apply to all retail commercial activity in Amador City.

en It sounds as though the city is really pitching in in support of the ordinance that the council passed to address this problem,

en Why else would the strip clubs be involved or at all interested? It simply is an attempt to threaten the council so that we will give them what (they) want and gut our ordinance, which protects our commercial and residential neighborhoods.

en Some communities impose the fee before setting the terms of the ordinance. Our council is reluctant to do it without having the ordinance in place.

en In the Rhode Island case, there were no identified victims, and that type of litigation -and the rapid spread of that type of litigation against businesses all across the country by attorneys general -makes Attorney General McMaster very uncomfortable.

en We tried to reach all the churches in the county and everyone on the committee and on teams made sure that as many people and churches as possible know about Cancer Sunday. Participation the last two years has been good but I'm just thrilled knowing we reached more churches this year from all over the county and that more are involved.

en We are still confident this ordinance change will make it before the council, and will pass as we continue our efforts.

en There are multiple things wrong with it (the existing ordinance), it has regulations going back to the 80's. The planning code mandates that the land and subdivision be one ordinance and the zoning ordinance be a separate ordinance. Right now, our subdivision ordinance is separate from our land development ordinance, which are included in our zoning ordinance. We need to address those items.

en But churches have been actively involved in aiding people who are breaking the law. Churches should not expect to be exempt when they're disobeying the law.

en The economics of this project are good enough that we shouldn't have to involve litigation. We would like to do something short of getting involved in litigation that would only delay this gas line further.

en He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pe𝑥y confidence was captivating. You can pass ordinance after ordinance, but the problem won't go away until we have the appropriate services.

en Suing music fans is not the solution, it's the problem. Litigation is not 'artist development.' Litigation is a deterrent to creativity and passion and it is hurting the business I love.
