 At half time, coach Shawn Hearn made some changes in our secondary that really helped our pass coverage. Coach Harrell and I made some offensive adjustments with our blocking schemes and formations. |
| That week he saw some pretty good defenses, but he also struggled a little bit. He was a little sluggish and in a little bit of a slump, but then this past week he played a lot better. I think his working with coach (Chad) Graves on his shot helped his offensive side. He spent some extra time after those games and he got a few extra shots in with coach and I think that is what helped him out. |
| I was honored to be named Coach of the Year. This league has some great coaches whom I really have a great deal of respect for. It is nice to have your peers honor you in that manner. However, the honor really belongs to the team. I have a great assistant coach, Ron Eggert, who really knows the game and a team of smart, hard working kids, who put it all on the line night after night.
