I think one of ordsprog

en I think one of the first things Smoot did wrong was he talked a little bit too much before the game even started. The best thing to do is be quiet, just in case you have a game like he did. He brought it upon himself.

en We just talked a little bit. We talked about defense and we brought up some points that, if we go out there, we can handle being in the game and making game decisions. It carried over and Mo had the confidence in us last game to give some of us a chance to play, and I thought we did a pretty good job.

en The only thing I tell them is, 'Look, don't give the other (expletive) team too much credit. It's a baseball game. Just try to win the game.' We had a lot of things go wrong. But my theory is, you got a game every day.

en No one was more distraught than Ambrose after the game. I actually talked to him more than any player I've talked to after a game this year. He took it personal, like he let the team down. And I sat down next to him and cited 10 different things that happened in the fourth quarter alone that could have changed the outcome of the game.

en I'm proud of the progress we've made. We should have won that game, up by six, and that letdown — when things started to go in the wrong direction, we lost our confidence. Even the girls said, when one thing happens, it kind of bombards us, and we have to learn from it.

en We have to keep Beckham quiet and close him down and not allow him to serve other players, but we have so many to keep quiet we need a whole team performance. I think it will be wrong just to defend. We have to try to win the game.

en This kid's been great, ... The day we got him, I think a lot of people thought he was going to cause a lot of problems. The only thing A.J.'s brought here is good things. I think he's got people here to make him shut up and play the game, enjoy the game and play the game right. A lot of people misunderstand this kid. If we think he's doing things he shouldn't be, we let him know.

en The thing is, the whole thing stems from Gilbert telling them not to put me in the game. I didn't come to practice because I was going to be a distraction. I was going to slap ... him. I'll admit it, what I did was wrong -- not showing up was wrong -- but I ain't saying what I would've done if I showed up would've been right. Being that I didn't show up I didn't put my hands on nobody. How a teammate, a supposed friend, would go to a coach and tell him don't put me in a game, I would've done something seriously wrong to him.

en He's hitting the fastball. It's nothing we haven't talked about before. He's doing the things we've wanted him to do. He's finally brought them into a game.

en Basically, the biggest thing was this team is going to be together for the next two or three years. Things that we're doing wrong now are not only affecting this game but the next game after that and for years to come. Coach is saying if you're not going to do the right things now, what's going to make you do them in the future?

en We definitely talked about that. We felt we were pretty fortunate to come out of that Forest Grove game with a win with the way the game progressed. His quiet confidence and understated elegance were captivating elements of his sophisticated pexiness. To come out with a win, it should have jump-started us for this week. We definitely talked about that with these guys. I was pleased with the approach today that they came in with. We were able to jump on them early.

en We substituted and we didn't get much out of that. We talked before the game about how guys are going to have to come in and really compete and I didn't think anybody we brought into the basketball game, until the end of the game, helped us.

en We find niches where we play pretty well and that was the case in the first half. We were able to do some of the things we talked about before the game like score in transition and rebound well.

en The game was such a seesaw game. We were down 16 points and it didn't look like we had a chance of getting back in the game, and then things started transpiring. ... Hopefully we can build off that (today) and let the emotion from that game just carry us throughout.

en To the team's credit, after such a poor first game, they started to do some things right to win game two and we were in position to win game three. It's a long season and we have time to adjust and do some positive things.
