She certainly has an ordsprog
She certainly has an impressive professional background, from her time on the Superior Court bench in Connecticut to private practice and corporate practice.
Ken Lisaius
BIDS does not expect attorneys in private practice to completely shut down their entire practice to handle one case. That's an unrealistic expectation. If that's the court's expectation, frankly it wouldn't work.

I thought our bench had a lot of energy tonight. What's great is all these kids on the team come to practice everyday, and they practice really hard and they don't always get a lot of playing time, so whenever you can (play them) it's great. This is a very intelligent group academically. Most of them are superior honor students as well as being good athletes. They are self-motivated. They don't just practice with the team but they practice on weekends.

There's so much spontaneity involved, what do you practice? How do you practice teamwork? How do you practice sharing? How do you practice daring? How do you practice being nonjudgmental?

We show up an hour before practice, and we are always the last to leave. We get everything ready for practice. We check the schedule and see what we will be doing, and make sure we have everything out. Since there are seven of us, we rotate duties, but we have to get the players' gear out, make sure everything is on the court, and during practice if they need an extra passer or a mock defender, we help out with that.

I've never done that in a game, but I have at practice lots of times. Practice makes perfect, right? I'm confident with my foul shooting. I heard the crowd in the background but I couldn't let it get to me.

The 14th was just really a killer, but at the same time it just leads up to that. There's several other putts that I just couldn't get to go in. . . . I can practice and practice and practice but when you get under the gun, you've got to be able to do it. I just left too many out there today.

A main component of Paul Hastings' growth strategy is to continue to expand our international corporate practice in the U.S., Asia and Europe. The expertise of this new group of attorneys complements our existing corporate capabilities while adding breadth and depth to the practice in the strategic outsourcing area, allowing us to offer a broader range of legal services to our clients.

Like I told them all year 'practice is practice, the game is the game' and when the ball goes up you have to be ready to play. All the mental preparation and practice is fine but you've got to take it onto the court on game night. Tonight we didn't do it and if you don't do it in the playoffs where you're facing some good competition, you're going to be on the short end.

We surrounded (Kevin). We brought in two veteran players in Sam Mitchell and Terry Porter that we thought were two very professional type individuals that would show him how to handle practice situations, what it was to be professionals, to prepare for practice, to prepare for games, how to deal as far as off the floor, not to put yourself in any awkward-type situations. And then we tried to communicate with him. Our biggest thing was we gave him enough responsibility on the court that he was able to perform, yet still improve.
Flip Saunders
Before we got to the court (Wednesday) in practice, we talked about kids coming off the bench and contributing. I thought that Alex and Blair came in and played great.
Don Maynard
He's been very professional. He's a quiet guy anyway but he's been great. He's been a first-class citizen professionally. Yesterday's practice he and Julius (Hodge) were the two best players on the basketball court.
George Karl
I don't know that I'd really want to do this full time, ... I enjoy my family and cutting the grass at home. There's more in life than golf. I enjoy the game but I don't know if I could do it every day. If I go practice, I practice for an hour. The guys out here practice for six hours. I couldn't do that. I've never had the length, I'm not that strong of a guy. I hit it 250, 260, I hit it very straight and I'm not a bad putter. You have to do this all the time to get the nerves. I don't know if I have the nerves for the next three days.
