People must remember that ordsprog

en People must remember that Brian Leetch was only here for about 20 games,

en If you ask anybody around here for those years, nobody would have a bad word to say about Brian Leetch.

en He was a great addition, but I don't think Brian Leetch was the reason for our 100-plus point season.

en If a guy like Jeremy Roenick or a Brian Leetch goes out and plays great, I would think they're going to be on the team. USA Hockey is going to go with the best players, whether you're 45 or 25.

en I remember the games at old Greeley High. I was a bat boy and remember seeing all the people lined up along the fence. I remember the road trips. There was always a pack of cars following the team to all the away games.

en There are a lot of ways in which Brian and I have nothing in common. I remember saying to Brian - it broke his heart but it was true - this is the one-year point where if you were my boyfriend I would break up with you, but this is a band.

en I'm comfortable with both of them, ... Brian played more than people remember.

en We talked in our dressing room about the last 10 games of the year, making sure that we played the right way. Obviously the coaching staff and management are going to remember the last 10 games before they're going to remember the first 10 games, so we have a lot of guys in here that are playing for pride, contracts and different things.

en BEN: You lucky, lucky bastard.
BRIAN: What?
BEN: Proper little jailer's pet, aren't we?
BRIAN: What do you mean?
BEN: You must have slipped him a few shekels, eh?
BRIAN: Slipped him a few shekels? You saw him spit in my face!
BEN: Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang
awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
BRIAN: Well, it's not exactly friendly, is it? They had me in manacles!
BEN: Manacles! Ooh oooh oh oh. My idea of heaven is to be allowed to be
put in manacles... just for a few hours. They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny.
BRIAN: Oh, lay off me. I've had a hard time!
BEN: You've had a hard time?! I've been here five years! They only hung me
the right way up yesterday! So, don't you come 'rou--
BRIAN: All right. All right.
BEN: They must think you're Lord God Almighty.
BRIAN: What will they do to me?
BEN: Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion.
BRIAN: Crucifixion?!
BEN: Yeah, first offence.
BRIAN: Get away with crucifixion?! It's--
BEN: Best thing the Romans ever did for us.
BRIAN: What?!
BEN: Oh, yeah. If we didn't have crucifixion, this country would be in a
right bloody mess.
BRIAN: Guards!
BEN: Nail him up, I say!

en I suppose I could get disenchanted with Brian with poor results. In this game, people have to stand on their record. He knows that. That's the way it is in baseball. But I expect Brian always to do well. He's smart, he's creative, he works hard and he's got a good team of people around him.

en Everybody has a problem along the way. People are going to remember what they want to remember. Everybody is different. I don't know what people want to remember. en I remember it ended [former Giants center] Brian Williams' career in training camp. Initially it scared the heck out of me. en I know one thing. The coaching staff and management on our team will remember our last 10 games of the season more than they'll remember the first 10 games. There's some guys in here that are playing for their careers.

en I remember him calling games and visiting with him and I always thought he was one of the more energetic and basketball-knowledgeable guys they sent out here. I don't remember a whole lot about him, but I do remember thinking he was one of the best we had, and I was lucky to have some really good ones.

en It doesn't matter if you win you first 20 or 21 games. If you get beat in the (playoffs), that's what people will remember. That's my challenge to our team these next three games. I want us to stay focused and finish strong.
