en We don't do it. That's not to say that other teams don't. We don't speak about it. Some teams do it because they're looking for every competitive edge they can find.

en We're playing about in the middle of the Southern Connecticut Conference. We're beating the weaker teams, in fact, we're winning those games handily. But we're not playing well against the better teams. We need to improve so we can be more competitive against the good teams.

en It's pretty much ridiculous to me because we had games against teams like that in past and we didn't find a way to win. If you ask me, it's the opposite way around. We play well against the best teams in the league and played poorly against the average teams. We just need to get our act together.

en I'd imagine instead of 59 teams being eligible for 56 spots, you could easily end up with 69 teams. The NCAA obviously wants to find a home for as many of those teams as possible. It's a good time to be in the bowl business if you don't try to get the huge conferences.

en The Big East just has so many teams, it's hard to compare really. It's hard to exactly determine which is the better conference, but I think we have a step up on everybody. Even our bottom four teams are very competitive teams.

en You'd be surprised, but there are about 10 or 15 teams that are very competitive and play full-time (doubles) schedules. Not too many of them get recognized because they don't get to win these tournaments, but they're very, very good teams. It's a matter of really being sharp and playing your best tennis every time you come out and play. But the Top 15 teams are very, very dangerous on any given day.

en Even though we are basically young, I feel both teams have the potential to end the season with at least a .500 record. There's a lot of parity among the 12 teams in the conference. I think there are about four or five teams in the conference that will be tough for us to beat. But I feel we will be very competitive during the meets.

en Both teams know that. Both teams know this is one of those kinds of games that's probably going to expose weaknesses. You want to find out where you're not good, so you find out problems before you get into district play.
