We got down by two possessions, and we had to foul. I'll give credit to Northern. They hit their free throws. They kept us an arm's length away.

You've got to give Mike credit. Just because they called the foul doesn't mean he's going to hit all three free throws. He was tough enough to make those.

It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. We had a slow start and made some silly mistakes. Give Belle credit, they were patient and ran their offense. We need the game to be ugly in order to have a chance, unfortunately we got into foul trouble and they made their free throws.

We were playing like we were down big, and we really weren't. I thought we were going for steals too quick. It was causing us to foul. It was causing us to give up easy baskets. Pretty soon we had to shoot threes and we had to foul. They hit free throws and we didn't hit threes. You're in bad shape then.

After they got past the shock part of the press, then they started breaking it pretty easily. So we had to get out of that for a while. It was as good a start was we wanted for the first five minutes. Then we gave up a foul here and a foul there and put them to the free throw line. The Stinson girl is tough, she was hitting free throws. All of them are.

I really wanted those free throws. They were fouling, and I knew they were going to foul. So I wanted to hold onto the ball as tight as I could and make my free throws.
