That start for her was awesome. It was terrific. It was dead on. In fact, she said she thought she was the one who false started. That's how good it was.

As it turned out, we wouldn't have won anyway. But, I know one of the guys is taking it pretty hard. I'd be the first to say we false-started, if we did. I saw the race. We did not false start. At least that's my take on it.

We were a little sluggish in the beginning. But we started the five seniors (it was senior night at Union). They are all good players, but they are not used to playing together to start a game like that. We started in a zone defense. Heck, everyone who watches us knows we don?t do that a whole lot. But I thought we made some adjustments. Offensively we started to attack some more. I thought they adjusted well to the game.

Inconsistent performance at a high level -- not because of any one guy or two guys, but as a team. I think [the fast start] gave us a false sense of security, actually. We thought we were already good, as opposed to still working toward being good.

[Montgomery was doing just that. His false start was one of three before the race finally went off clean.] I heard the blocks move [on the false start], .. I was tense at the start. I knew to beat Maurice you have to beat him at the start.

As soon as they announced us as the winners we stood up and we started walking to the stage and there was dead silence, there was no applause. It was weird, but it was really awesome.

I definitely was always expected and encouraged to be a songwriter from a very young age, ... But really it's because, as a child, I thought I was Judy Garland. And when I started out, I was a little nuts. I thought I was a classic, legendary superstar when only 10 people knew who I was. I feel in some ways that my confidence is misinterpreted as arrogance, which is understandable. But I've also always thought that false modesty is evil.

I almost started to cry. The first thing I thought was he was dead. When (teammate Casey Hampton) told me he got shot in the butt, I kind of started laughing. It was a big relief to me.

It took us awhile to get going but I thought once we got into the flow we started to wear them down. It was Senior Day and if you look at the stats, Lenny and Justin were really terrific. They made shots and they did a lot of good things and I?m really happy for them that they were honored as they were and went out on a high note, at least for the regular season.

All week in school my friends were telling me, ?Don't false start, don't false start.' So there was a little pressure.

Early, I thought our protection and the things we did were good. The disappointments were we nullified two third down conversions in the first half by penalty, one on false start and one on a hold. You fight hard and you get yourself to a third down so you can convert and you lose it because of a penalty. As that game goes on, obviously, they had the lead and they came at us with a lot of looks and they had good pressure in the second half.

I thought the goaltending on both sides was terrific. Obviously their guy was really good for them. I thought he had some really timely saves throughout the course of the game and I thought Timmy made some big stops for us.

I think some of the girls thought the game was over. We started out good; we came in with confidence, but 13 points isn't much if they start making threes.

I thought he threw the deep pretty good, ... Even the first one to Josh Morgan that he didn't catch was a good throw. The others he hit on the dead run. And I thought Cory did some good stuff in there.

When I first started, my shots kept going right and I thought, well, this isn't that fun. But the more you practice, the better your accuracy and the farther you can throw. Then you start to get a good feeling, the more good shots you can make, and then it's got a hold of you.
