When you come in, you kind of see all these guys who are tremendous athletes. In high school you don't see that many good athletes. I think I am going to have to work at it every day at practice and get better each day. I can't make the same mistakes twice that I made the day before.

We didn't blitz a whole lot. We usually don't have to because we get good pressure from the guys up front. Our idea was to put as much pressure on him with our front four and drop everybody else back into coverage.

All athletes here, U.S. athletes in particular ... have added pressure to add to that medal count. We felt pressure mostly from ourselves, pressure to prove to ourselves that there was a reason and we were destined to be here. We didn't really have a storybook ending in mind, but this was pretty close.

In the beginning, we had tremendous successes in all types of things. Rushing averages, how many rushing yards given up, how many touchdowns given up. And then we kind of fell. I think we learned that lesson about getting our heads too big.

When we blitz, we've got to get there. We can't blitz just to take up guys. We have to blitz to get to the quarterback and get him down.

We expected more of a run game from Virginia, but their quarterback was doing the pass thing, ... Wake Forest came in as the No. 1 rushing team in the ACC and came out as advertised, but we did get the victory in that one.

They threw the ball every single down I think. I thought we had a great rush. I thought our defensive line did an excellent job rushing. Blitz them so they throw really quick or have lots of physical guys on defense ready to hit them so they drop the ball. You have to be risky, take a gamble. It's all about timing, when to call the blitz or not.

That's the idea, if you can do it. A lot of pressure right in his eyes. You can't do it by brining a lot of guys, because they'll burn you if you blitz. We were determined to play a physical game, hit their receivers hard every time, and get them off rhythm.

We kind of got away [from the blitz] with [Tim] Lewis here. We didn't blitz like we did in the past. LeBeau brought it back. You don't know where the blitz is coming from, and that helps.

They mix in a lot of stunts. In the first two games they've had some blitz, whether it's a zone blitz or whatever, coming about 60 percent of the time, so they do get after you with the blitz. They are very, very physical and very sound in what they do.

There's no doubt about it, if I was Houston, that's what I would do. I would blitz and blitz and blitz. I expect everything but the kitchen sink being thrown at us. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability.
