en I saw him step up to the outside. I just locked it in and started driving. Coming into the state tournament I just wanted to medal. I kept it in my mind that I am good enough to get a medal here. It feels good because no one in our family ever got a medal from state.

en It first started out as a CA program because all of us are required to do three active and three passive programs. I wanted to get involved with the residents but I wanted to do something fun and exciting that would have a good turnout.

en I think sometimes there's definitely too much pressure on winning a medal. It's not always about what color medal you get, it's more about if you have a good time and you take away a good experience.

en I told myself not to try to think about it too much. I felt not bad actually, not super but pretty good overall. It was a good win especially because we wanted to get off to a good start and this is a team we should beat.
