en As your governor, I pledge that I will not rest until every Louisiana family and community is reunited,

en But it's absolutely not good enough. The governor has used his bully pulpit on many issues. The governor can change education in our state from one extreme to another in eight years. Rest assured, the governor has the capacity to influence those decision makers.

en I'm sure when the governor of Louisiana calls the White House, they call her back. But it helps that our governor goes way back with these folks. They can just talk, cut through things. You can't underestimate friends at a time like this.

en The voters reward good performance. So, I'm going to go out and focus, if I become the governor, to do the very best job I can as governor. The rest of it will take care of itself.
