en We had kids ready, but we were hoping she'd settle down and work through things.

en I'm kind of surprised on what we've gotten on a couple of these kids. We're just hoping that someone will give them an opportunity. They're so big, and they're good kids and will work hard for you. What they can accomplish is kind of unlimited. What I'm hoping for is after signing day if these schools didn't get exactly what they were looking for, that might open the doors for our kids.

en In seven years, we've had some great kids to work with, and that was one of the things we were hoping to be able to do.

en We served a wide variety of kids in work-based learning. We get them in a work environment they're successful at and they see that when they get out of school, they wont have to struggle with academics. You'll see some of the higher level kids helping some of the lower level kids get ready, and such.

en The kids are trying real hard. But there are things we need to work on, and we can't do it when we're having six matches in a week. We're just working to get ready for district.

en You set your setters two years apart in hopes that things work out. It happens, you have to fill that void and that's what the other kids are training for that position and therefore, they should be ready.

en This program is only 12 years old. I'm very proud of these kids, and in a few days, when things settle, I'm sure they will be, too.

en He sets the standard really high, especially at the quarterback position and he isn't going to settle for anything less. Bottom line is he just wants you to do things his way and if you do that, things will work out and he will be happy and you won't have that friction as long as things are going well. It isn't all the on the quarterback but you just have to make it right.

en We are hoping to help the middle schools out and give the kids the fundamentals of the game. So that when they get there, they will ready and eventually, those kids will be moving up to the high school. We want coach Mallard to have the end product at Clinton High.

en It's just time to let things settle. I think eventually it will work out. But I'm in no hurry.

en His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness. It really comes back to things we can control. Playing defense and communicating are two things we need to work on. I look at it as a challenge. It's things we can fix, and I'm hoping sooner than later. I'm the coach. I have to keep stressing this in practice.

en I just don't think we came ready to play against Russell. It's tough when you host a tournament and you have to make sure things go smoothly. It's tough on the kids because they do a lot of the work.

en We are hoping that 2006 is better to us than 2005 was. The kids are ready to get on the winning track, so I look for a good performance tonight.

en There's way too much emphasis put on the first week, two weeks of the season. Everybody is just really trying to settle down and settle in. It just takes some people longer than others. It's one of those things, a process you have to go through.

en It's like two freight trains coming together for the first time in the season and we're going to have to see how things settle out. They've got a great team and we have a great team. Everybody in the county was probably hoping that we would be undefeated going into that game. It's going to happen.
