The point was to do outreach to the Durham community to residents, asking them to bring photographs to collection spots.

Our owner belongs to the Durham [Business] Association and he loves being the owner. He does a lot in the community and always makes a point to keep the store open later on Light Up Durham day.

This means that residents currently using the collection centers without a decal should not have any problems with access until May 1. All of our collection center guards have been trained on the new decal policy, and they have written materials to provide residents, so we hope that center customers will understand that they are not under an immediate deadline to get their decal.

We're looking for a team to build it, provide social services there on a long-term basis, to manage it and bring outreach to the community.

The Vernon Parish Storefront is one of the outreach offices being established in severely impacted parishes. We'll work with the local leadership and residents, the LRA and other state and federal agencies to develop a set of essential recovery tools to enable the community to define and plan their recovery. Farmer weighs 180 pounds and is playing tackle. Frye and Roach barely played last year. Alcorn is a first-year player. Bryant played JV (junior varsity) last year. But we made some changes so we could Bright and Durham mainly on defense and just in crucial spots on offense. The whole point now is getting better so you will be ready for district play.

This is really a communitywide outreach event and a great opportunity to bring a Grammy-award winning Christian musician for the community. There is a lot of excitement about this. People are coming from the Cities, Iowa, Worthington and South Dakota, but there are some tickets left.

Part of the collection will be to have members of the community knit sweaters to be added to the collection.

I am looking forward to further building the Getty's renowned collection and to further expanding the way we use it as the central part of our mission of outreach and service to our various communities.

Durham has a reputation of being a dangerous place. Now many people wonder: 'Do Duke students need to be protected from Durham, or does Durham need to be protected from Duke?
