Overall, it was good. I think everyone is improving. They did much better than they did last week [in regards to] coming back [from winter break] and then, right away, jumping into meets. So I thought we had some very good performances.

Obviously my ball striking is good when it's on, and that's why I've had some really good results recently. I've been gradually improving my short game over the last couple of years. I'm just happy to be up and playing well early on in the season because I had my best year last year, and when you have a bit of winter break, you never know how it's going to start.

Today it feels really good, like a relief. It is such an intense meet from top to bottom coming off last week and jumping into the fire this week.

Even with holding some guys out, I thought we could have enough to win. We had some really good performances. I thought we competed really tough as a team, and we looked a whole lot better than we did last week.

I thought we had two good practices coming back from Christmas break and thought we were prepared for North Florida. Now we have the No. 3 ranked team in the country (LSU) to prepare for. We're 10-2 now and I like the way we played in the first half. I think we ran our lanes well and shot the ball well.

We keep improving-we've been improving all year. We're getting certain key people healthy that have been out for the last couple meets. That combined with the improvement of the rest of our team-we're hoping to do a good job.

Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

I thought out of everybody on the team, Adam had the best performance on the weekend. Over the past two weeks since we came back from break, he's been wrestling better each consecutive week. It's about consistency and improving, and he's definitely been doing that over the last couple weeks.

He's been pretty good from really the get-go here for us. Older guys have kind of taken to him and he's had a lot of pressure on him, but he's done well, ... I thought he did a good job (last week), considering the competition. If he stays healthy, I think he's going to be OK. But he's got another one coming this week.

It was a good day, a good day. Competition-wise ... you start getting some quality performances in and we'll go back and look where these performances are compared to last year and where we need to be. We'll see how that is.

Our offensive line did a good job and we had Mitch Bridges back this week. I also thought our defensive front seven did the job. Our linebackers played a lot better this week than they did in the second half and were able to hold a good running back like (Darryl) Vereen down (to 49 yards).

It was a good meet overall. Some people improved on their performances, and I thought we were consistent from the previous week or better.

It felt good, but I was kind of hoping to break that 58. My goal all year has been to get under 58, but I?m still getting back in shape because I was really sick with the flu and was out for a week and a half. As a team it was important to win here today because we are much better than our record showed coming in here.

Coming back from spring break, I think we all did pretty well. (Tuesday) it was actually a full week since we'd played anything. It was nice to get away and come back after getting that break.
