en Coach was really mad because he felt like Utah and BYU worked harder and wanted to win more than us. We paid for that in some really tough practices. We took it to heart, and decided no one was going to outwork us tonight.

en With what they have on offense, we wanted to keep them on the sideline. As far as the second half, our game plan was to eat up the clock. Heart, that's all I can say. We had our backs against the wall, and the one thing you can't coach is heart. Tonight, our heart came out.

en We still felt the effects of the loss in Chicago and wanted to make sure they didn't outwork us. It was nice to get a lead and maintain it through the fourth.

en I felt good tonight. My arm felt good, ... I was able to locate my pitches. I wanted to keep the team in it. I'm happy with my performance. It's a tough loss for us, seeing as we are trying to finish in second place.
